Monday Crafternoon – Casing the Catalogue # 2

For today’s Case the Catalogue I have chosen to make this #simplestamping card. You can find this card on page 67 of the current annual catalogue.

How I made this card

For the base I used Whisper White A4 thick card cut in half 15 cm x 21cm scored and folded in half at 10.5 cm.
I cut another piece white card measuring 10 cm x 14.5 cm this was to stamp my image on. Using the stitched Nested Label dies – I used the 4th smallest label and cut out with Bermuda Bay.
On this label I wiped down with my Embossing Buddy then stamped my sentiment using Versamark ink and covered with white embossing powder. I then used my heat tool to set the embossing powder.
Using the Perennial Birthday stamp set I stamped my images onto the white card. Using daubers I inked up the flower with leaves, stamped onto some white card and fussy cut out.
I glued this flower onto the sentiment then attached the sentiment to the card using dimentionals.

Monday Crafternoon- Casing the Catalogue #1 – Butterfly Wishes

Today I am introducing a new series that I have called Monday Crafternoon were I bring you a project every Monday afternoon. I am going to start by casing the Stampin’ Up! catalogue.

How I made this card

For the base I used an A4 piece of Smoky Grey card ( according to the catalogue it should have been Sahara Sand, but until I came to make this card I hadn’t realised that I hadn’t got this in my collection – I have since ordered it!) I cut the card in half until it measured 21 cm x 14.8 cm, scored and folded at 10.5 cm.
I cut another piece of Smoky Slate measuring 14 cm x 9.5 cm. Using the Stitched Nested Dies I took the largest die and embossed the die into the card.
On this piece of card I stamped the smaller butterfly from the Butterfly Wished stamp set. Using the coordinating ink I stamped off the first butterfly and used the second generations stamp.
Using the second to largest Stitched Nested Dies I die cut using The Designer Series Paper (DSP) and as per the card from the catalogue I glued it to the grey card. I carefully ripped the opposite end.
I die cut he second to smallest stitched nested die in the Granny Apple Green card.
On the Whisper White card I stamped 2 yellow flowers, a green butterfly after stamping them off once. I then stamped 4 grey leaves and the sentiment and fussy cut them all out.
I took a length of the ribbon, folded it and secured it with the tear tape. I placed everything on the card and stuck into place.
I finished off the card by adding embellishments.

Good Morning Magnolia Card

Today I have made this lovely card using the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set.

How I made this card

For the base card I used A4 Crumb Cake card. I cut it in half then scored down the centre folded and burnished. This size card fits lovely into the C6 envelope.
Using the leaf stamp and Crumb Cake ink I randomly stamped leaves onto the base card.
I stamped the large flower onto Whisper White Card using basic gray ink. As this was a large stamp I decided to use my Stamparatus.
Using my Big Shot and the largest Nested Label die I cut out the flower.
Using my Stamping blends I coloured the magnolia flower, I find this part very relaxing and therapeutic.
Cut 15 cm of linen ribbon, then stick a strip of tear tape along the bottom of the card and place the ribbon on top. Trim the edges once placed on the card.
Using dimentionals adhere the flower to the card base.
Stamp the Hello sentiment onto Whisper White cut out and adhere to the card.

Sketch Challenge # 5 Using Let it Ride Stamp Set

Today I am posting my 5th Sketch challenge card I am a bit late getting this done as I have had problems with the internet recently. For this challenge I am using the lovely Let it Ride Stamp Set.

How I made this card

For the base card I used whisper white 25.5 cm x 18 cm (10″ x 7″) scored and folded in the middle.
For the outside panel I have used Crumb Cake card 5.5 cm x 18 cm. Using Early Espresso ink I have stamped the tree images. I then cut the Early Espresso card 7 cm x 18 cm and leaving a thin gap in the centre of the card adhered the card to the base.
Using white card – I cut out a circle using the circle dies.
I then stamped the horse image onto the white circle and coloured with the Stampin’ Blends.
I then cut 3 strips of card Crumb Cake 4 cm x wide Early Espresso 3.5 cm and white card 2 cm cut into banners using snips and arrange and glue to the card. Trim the excess card away.

Card Sketch Challenge # 7 Using the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set – Join My Stampin’ Up! Team

Today I am posting my 7th Sketch challenge card. I am using the Beautiful Friendship Stamp Set, I absolutely love this very pretty flower stamp set.

My sketch card challenge was inspired by this card.

How I made this card

For the base card I used Whisper White 25.5 cm x 18 cm (10″ x 7″) scored and folded in the middle.
I then cut a piece of Seaside Spray card cut to 12 cm x 17 cm and glued to the base card.
Using Soft Sea Foam I cut a strip which measured 12 cm x 8 cm . I then cut this piece into 2 leaving one side slightly longer than the other. I rounded the edges of the inside part only. I glued this to the front of the card.
I then cut some Whisper White card at 6 cm and then cut in two to fit the inside of the Soft Sea Foam rounding the inside corners to match.
I then cut a piece of Seaside Spray card at 7 cm x 4 cm and rounded all 4 edges. I then cut a piece of white card measuring 6 cm x 3.5 cm and rounded the edges and glued both pieces together.
Using my Stamparatus I stamped the large flower image onto the white pieces of card using Seaside Spray ink and then glued then to the inside of the Soft Sea Foam card.
I stamped the flowers and leaves on some scrap white card and fussy cut them out. I glued these to the white card centre piece. Using Tear & Tape I attached some ribbon to the back and then attached to the card using dimentionals.
I finished the card by stamping my sentiment onto a scrap piece of white card and attached to the card using glue.

Thinking of You Card Using Floral Essence

Today I have cased a card that I received in a card swap from the lovely Jenny Osmond in Australia. I loved the card so much I decided to recreate using the Floral Essence Suite.

How I made this card

For the base card you will need Blackberry Bliss 16 cm x 15 cm. Along the long side score and fold at 5.5 cm.
Cut Floral Essence Designer Series Paper (DSP) at 4.5 cm x 14.3 cm and glue to the side panel on the front of the base card.
For the inside cut Blushing Bride pink card at 9.4 cm x 14 cm and cut Whisper White card 6.5 cm x 11 cm. Stamp your sentiment in the centre of the white card. Attach the white card to the pink card and adhere to the middle of your base card.
Cut two squares , one in Blackberry Bliss and a smaller one in Whisper White, stick them together. Stamp and attach a Floral Essence flower to the white square using dimentionals. Attach the squares to the front of your card ensuring to carefully attach the Polka dot tulle ribbon behind them.
On the back of the card glue the Blackberry Bliss card 9.4 cm x 14 cm ensuring you cover the ribbon in the centre of the card.
Using a scrap piece of Whisper White stamp and attach your sentiment to the front of your card.
